Experiments

The Magis experiments are the most important part of the MAGIS experience. The activities are designed to highlight the meaning of teamwork, to provide a sense of international community and to place us into unusual situations which contribute to our human and spiritual growth.

When filling in the application form, you will be able to select an experiment category. Depending on your choice you will be placed in an international group of young people and together you will be immersed in a certain Magis activity from the 23rd to 29th of July. A number of different experiments are prepared, grouped in several categories: Pilgrimage, Spirituality, Ecology, Service, Arts and Culture.

Pilgrimage

When a heavy backpack weighs you down and the comforts of everyday life seem like a distant memory, you might be surprised to find many new and different perspectives. Enjoy finding God while walking on the pilgrim path to the Hill of Crosses, going down the cost of the Baltic Sea or heading through the woods and lakes in the Aukštaitija National park.

Spirituality

If your desire is to go deeper into prayer and contemplation, this category is for you. Spirituality experiments will offer a wider experience of Ignatian spirituality and a possibility to explore the ‘more’ of God in the beauty of silence.

Ecology

The theme of Ecology comes from the invitation of Pope Francis addressed to "every person living on this planet" for an inclusive dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. In the experiments of this category you will search and experience many different ways of how to be an Eco-friendlier Catholic and why.

Service

The Ignatian way of serving is revealed in the words of “to love and serve in all things”. Therefore in this category you will be helping others, the less fortunate ones or those who are in need of a simple human attention.

Arts and Culture

In this category you will be experiencing spirituality through various kind of art: music, theater, land art or maybe even the art of culinary. May God let you speak through surprising and unexpected experiences.
